I-40 West to Memphis and Back for Halloween
Hey folks! We’re making our way through October, which of course means we have Halloween on our minds. We have been using the last few weeks to practice, write, and Ellis even took a trip to Germany “to collect old folk tunes and creepy stories about children being baked into pies.” Stay tuned for some spooky German folk tales making their way into our music.
Next week we have four straight days in a straight line, thanks to the great American interstate system. Wednesday, October 17th brings us back to Asheville, NC, this time at The Grey Eagle. We will be supported by Clint Roberts in what is shaping up to be the best thing to do on a Wednesday. Go back a few sentences and click that link for tickets!
Thursday, October 18th will be our long awaited return to Nashville, TN. We’re hitting the broadway scene (sorry, no country covers). I believe it will be on the roof, which would mark our first roof show. I apologize to any roof shows that we may have played that are now escaping my mind. Head on down to Ole Red for four (4!) hot swingin’ sets.

We continue west to Memphis on Friday, October 19th for our first trip to the legendary Lafayette’s Music Room. Our trip last year to Memphis was way too quick, so we’re looking forward to soaking in some of the rich history and tradition of this fine city. We start at 6:30, so come for dinner and drinks and make a whole night out of it!

Make sure to mark down October 25th in your calendar for our annual Halloween monster bash. There will be a full post about that next week! Cat’s Cradle Backroom is the place and tickets can be found here.
